02:06:41jj5I am running the tools/rockboxdev.sh script and I get error: "libtool" is required for this script to work. Can someone help me to install libtool?
02:12:06jj5I have written this problem up over here: jj5.net/blog/2024/06/12/missing-libtool-when-preparing-to-build-rockbox/">https://blog.jj5.net/blog/2024/06/12/missing-libtool-when-preparing-to-build-rockbox/

08:58:46speachy_bilgus_: interesting find. pretty sure our partition/mbr parsing code ignores that though
09:00
09:07:45speachythat forum post about the ipod6g bootloader completely failing to start an (unknown) SSD is interesting.
09:08:06speachyIs the bootloader on the 6g+ stored on disk or in flash?
09:08:32speachyI mean, what's the risk factor should I post a new bootloader binary?
09:09:17speachy...probably behooves me to get my hands on a 6/7g model.
09:23:10***Saving seen data "./dancer.seen"
09:57:41speachyBut I think it's prudent to uprev our bootloaders. As well as gaining GPT support, we'll pull in 7 years of bugfixes in the ipod6g and 14 years for the others..

10:46:38user890104speachy: it's on a 1MB SPI NOR flash on both nano2g and ipod6g
10:47:24user890104also apple's emergency disk mode is there, so it can boot with a completely blank hdd
10:51:40speachymy point being that I don't want to risk bricking someone's ipod should the bootloader not work
10:52:57speachydaily buids of the main fw appear to be solid but the bootloader may have some bespoke code paths that aren't exercised.
10:57:21speachyuser890104: if you have a 6g, willing to be a guinea pig for an updated bootloader binary?
