05:00:23Guest33Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with my walkman nw-a55. At first in the "About this device" menu, it displays the model name as "DMP-Z1", and I tried to force-update the A55 1.02 firmware to my device, but it still displays dmp-z1. This is my help-us log:scsitool E: help_us

16:08:07speachyI just fired up the Rocker that I was using before switching to the X3. With the latest builds, it is _so_ much more pleasant to use than before; with a far more responsive (and glitch-free) UI.
16:08:52CtcpIgnored 2 channel CTCP requests in 3 days and 16 hours at the last flood
16:08:52*speachy pats himself on the back.
16:10:15speachybut can't take credit for the core UI fixes/cleanups. so thank you.
16:11:00speachyneed to try the newer bootloader on this thing too, make sure its shorter timeouts and better configurability works as intended.
16:11:09speachy(as yet unreleased)
17:00
17:04:57_bilgusI noticed my battery life seems to be up as well
17:05:22speachycan't comment on that. :D
17:06:04speachyI'm wondering if it might not be adviseable to blindly re-enable ATA powersaving stuff on the iflash sd adapters.
17:06:30speachyer s/not //
17:07:04speachy...since the root cause of the corruption was PIO timings on writes
17:08:10speachyand those PM features have been mandatory since well before the ipods existed.
17:09:12_bilgusI'd much rather have uncorrupted files instead of longer battery life playing corrupted ones
17:10:33speachyoh, I agree. but the (currently disabled) PM stuff wasn't the cause of said corruption. Or at least not most of it.
17:11:04speachyand not being able to kill power to the drive can severely hurts battery life.
17:11:14speachy(some SD cards are much worse than others in that respect...)
