The DX50 and DX90 are actually unaffected by these proposed toolchain
changes, as they rely on the tooling provided by the Android NDK.

Coincidentally, several months ago I revamped the DX50/DX90 builds to
use a much newer (but still the oldest available) version of the Android
NDK, moving from gcc 4.6 to gcc 4.9 and turned on much higher levels of
CPU-specific optimizations.

So, if you could try using a recent-ish nightly build on your DX90, we
can confirm the tooling changes did not introduce any regressions.

There are also several DX90-related bugs in the tracker [1] that need
to be confirmed as still present or closed.

Thanks,

 - Solomon
