Summary: Bootloader?

Initial Comment:
The ROM firmware can obviously load progs from the HD,
but what about the loaded-firmware? can it do the same?
would it be possible to make a boot-loader archos.mod
that serves only to select other .mod files from the
drive and run them?
if this is possible, then what about the reverse, e.g.
exiting a loaded .mod and going back to the main? or just
re-load back to the achos.mod selector?
seems like it'd aid development and add much versitility
