Newsflash! I unlocked my fujitsu drive!

Hello everyone

I did it!
I unlocked my fujitsu drive!
The solution was very simple. But first, some history >;)

I have been mailing the Fujitsu europe support for almost over a week
now, getting the same answer all the time. "We don't set the master password in
the manufacturing process".

But not giving up I even made them send a mail to Japan. The same answer. So, feeling a little down (since I'm going to Japan in less than two weeks and wanted to bring my AJB. With expired guarantee and no hope in having the unit returned in time anyways) I used the atapwd utility and went wild and frenzy trying all different kinds of master passwords. Finally I tried with the user password, and guess
what? It's set to

Yes, that's right... I didn't forget to type it. The password is "", zero, zip, nothing. Just choose unlock with user password, enter, and then disable with user password, enter,
and you're all set. I was very surprised and it felt like someone had made a cruel joke and then stood there, laughing in my face, all along.

This worked for me at least. I do not know if this is the case with everyone else.
Since it seemed to be highly random what was done by the "virus firmware"(?)
