Sorry about how my answer came out. I didn't mean to infer you were dumb,
nor did I ignore your use of "firmware(installer)" - I pondered that for
some time, wondering exactly what you might be wanting. The problem here is
that you suspect an installer is required, and operate on that premise,
while I'm fairly sure that one isn't required, (I don't currently have a mac
at hand to confirm this, but I recall being able to move hidden files in the
past, so while I can't give step-by-step instructions, I can't quite see
what would preclude doing it) and so was suggesting this - the impression
you gave was that the only reason you could not install the firmware was
because you could not use the OS properly (fair enough - it's in another
language), and so it sounded like you were putting effort into searching for
an installer that might not even exist instead of into finding out how to
copy the file yourself, which seemed a bizarre choice to me but you didn't
say until now that you were under the impression that an installer might
actually be required. I put the smileys in there to try to indicate I didn't
see things as badly as it sounded, but ah well.

And since it seems that neither you nor I know if there is, in fact, any
difficulty installing the firmware for mac, I'm ignoring that topic
altogether - I just wanted to let you know that I wasn't taking you for a
complete idiot, more just baffled by what seemed to me to be some strange
assumptions. And I'll be a bit more tactful in future :)

Just use the egroups option of not sending you any mail, and you simply
browse the posts online whenever convenient. When you post something, just
check the website the next day. No mailbox clogging. No guarentee of any
useful answer either, but hey :)
