I have the 1.26 version in rom (flashrom?) on my jukebox, and the RockBox
stuff works fine. So its not the new firmware in rom blocking the update.

You know that it ALWAYS reports the rom verson when you first turn it on
dont u? it will then change to display Rockbox or the version of the offical
firmware on the HDD

Finally, if u are using Window$ it has the option to hide the extension of
known files (a stupid consession to silly people if ever I saw one...), so
are you sure its not called AJBREC.AJZ.AJZ or something like that?
