Yes, I've noticed that it does display the 1.26 on startup..

Wierd thing is when I first got the JB, I hooked it up and copied the
new firmware over to the JB, checked the firmware and it was upgraded to
1.27, no problem... it wasn't a very challenging proccess.

So, when I tried to put Rockbox on, I hooked up the USB, deleted the new
firmware upgrade, and copied the Rockbox file (renamed) and nothing
happened. So I went and downloaded the 1.27 again (to my home pc) and
tried to upgrade it to 1.27 again and nothing happens.

I've got the extensions turned on, so it's not that. The only
difference I can think of between the two computers here and at work is
that I think I installed the drivers from CD rom on the system... other
than that, I just thought you copy the file over and it detects it.
I'll figure this out one way or another :)

Strange stuff...
