i use that as well (ide-scsi). and it works. i dont get timeouts but when
copying at full usb speed the box hangs. mouse, everything. it works again
once it has written the current chunk to the recorder, as it seems. like if
some lock would be kept ...
aditionally it seems to require quite a lot of cpu time. is that usual ?
