I suggest following for UI Simulator:
1. Have it as console application. Makes things easier to debug.
2. Instead of polling in button.c have some synchronization. My
implementation just suspends calling thread, but it may not work for
all cases. I was only playing with UI parts.

If interested I can post diffs for my modifications.
