To have free clusters is not so painful. Just watch for clusters with a zero
entry in the fat, they are free clusters. What are really painful is the
long name creation for a file to create in FAT32, since it envolves a lot of
tricks.

(ata_write_sectors). but how do i know which sector is free or which sector
a certain file has. my idea (until file writing is supported) is that i will
place an empty file (or a file with some kb zero-chars) on the disk and
write with the player into that file - would this be possible?
