Filenames should be displayed as they are typed :) As I think about it, I'm not exactly sure what operating system it's for.. either the Win9x or the WinNT based ones i'm sure. heh. The good way to check is to create a new folder and type it in as all uppercase and see what happens. You can also right click on the folder and choose properties. That should display the real name also.
