Changes:
1. Brought in synch with CVS as of 6 August 2002
2. AJF format changed to use lookup map of chars rather than to scan
them. I don't see difference in performance, but it's better approach
anyway.
3. Added more fields suggested by Greg Haerr
4. Included CRLF patch from Daniel
