Better handled, yes, but how many do you think rename their songs when
they're moved from their PC to their Archos? I'd guess that veeeery few
people actually do that.

Mostly because that would give them different names on the files on the
different places and it makes it harder to keep track of things, but also
because that would require that they always use some kind of mirror tool to
move the files and not simply copying them back and forth.

So I think no matter what, many people will enjoy getting the names shortened
on the screen.
