When you guys get to the recording ability, I would ask that you look at
what Archos calls the "recording level". When recording my friend's band at
the local bars, it constantly maxes out the input level and thus the
resulting mp3 is severely distorted. It would be nice to be able to make
that level lower than they currently allow.
