Glad to see you like the project. Ill respond to what Im able to :)

The icons on the players. I had started this, and am hoping to continue
it (unless someone else gets there first). Unfortunatley Im trapped at a
relatives house for the forseeable future, and thus am unable to develop.
But trust me, its being worked on ;)

Hope that helps..

First off, thank you for the time and effort you put into RockBox! It
(to coin a phrase) rocks...

Got a feature request and a problem with the simulator. Preface it by
saying that I have a Jukebox 6000. First the request. Could you, and not
being a programmer, per se, I don't know what is involved, set a menu
option which would give you the choice of including or not including
subdirectories in the shuffle mode? This would be cool, since in the
current drive layout, I have several directories, Rock, Guitar, Comedy,
etc. Most tracks are directly beneath this, however, a few directories
exist below, for instance, where I have a full album. It would be cool
to be able to dip into subdirectories during random play. Also, while I
am thinking about it, does the player have the icons like the Archos mod
file does? I see it in the screenshots from the simulator, but it is the
dir browser for the recorder. Any chance of getting the same info for
the player?

Second, I am having a problem with the player simulator. I donwloaded
the rockbox-1.2-player-sim, but when I try to execute it, the screen
flashes up for a second, then disappears, and the terminal I started it
in shows:

[storm_at_defiant archos]$ ./rockbox-1.2-player-sim

X error in rockbox-1.2-player-sim:
X Error of failed request: BadAccess (attempt to access private
resource denied)
Major opcode of failed request: 2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes)
Serial number of failed request: 35
Current serial number in output stream: 39

Any ideas?

Regards,
