All the .mp3 decoding that takes place in the Archos is done by the DSP hardware, not the firmware, so the charge for the decoding algorithm license would be borne by the producer of the hardware, i.e., Archos. With the recent reversal of licensing for MP3 decoders, what is the impact on RockBox? Will there be an issue, or does the fact that the DSP does the majority of the work cover any legal tangles? If there is a perceived issue, will this spearhead any work on OGG support, even though such a task might be extremely cumbersome? Thanks!
