Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2002 20:48:34 +1000 I love the idea of a (possible) seperate settings file for each dir, but I also see the merit in having a global .ini type setting; so what about having both? The global .ini file just contains offsets for the individual settings in the .rockbox dir (ie +3 low range for your _tinny speaker.ini_ file)? Or am I just a maniac that wants everything :) A From: "George Styles" <george_at_ripnet.co.uk> To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 8:14 PM Subject: Re: Audiobooks and shuffle. > I think the idea of having a .rockbox in the directory is neater - for one > thing I regenerate my playlists using dir/b/s *.mp3 > file.m3u every time I > load mp3's onto the Rockbox. > > The eq (and optional shuffle) settings are logically tied to the mp3 files > themselves, so IMHO should live in the same directory. > > You could even have a WPS option in there, for those problem mp3s which are > not yet id3'ed > > just my .002 euros > > g > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Paul Suade" <paul.suade_at_laposte.net> > To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> > Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 10:53 AM > Subject: Re: Audiobooks and shuffle. > > > > If you want have some local option you can add special commant in a > playfile > > : > > > > #$vol ... > > #$eq ... > > song1.mp3 > > song1.mp3 > > song1.mp3 > > #$eq ... > > song2.mp3 > > > > it would help you not to be forced to read another file in a directory > > except for the playlist itself > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Daniel Stenberg" <daniel_at_haxx.se> > > To: "Rockbox" <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> > > Sent: Friday, September 06, 2002 10:38 AM > > Subject: RE: Audiobooks and shuffle. > > > > > > > On Fri, 6 Sep 2002, Benoit Midy wrote: > > > > > > > it was great if ROckBox will load the .eq file if one is present in > the > > > > actually directory, so we could (llike said Stu) define some sutom > sound > > > > that will be automatiocally load upon the directoery location. > > > > > > Why stop with .eq files? > > > > > > Why not support a ".rockbox" (or whatever) file in any directory that > can > > > specify which .eq file to load, but also which .wps and soon also which > > font > > > etc. > > > > > > No, this would not be a feature for the average cluebie, but for those > of > > us > > > who appreciate creeping featurism and are capable of editing files like > > this! > > > ;-) > > > > > > -- > > > Daniel "Bagder" Stenberg -- http://rockbox.haxx.se/ > > > > > > > > > > > Received on 2002-09-06 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
