It is definetly worth when you often transfer large or many files. To write 60 MB takes
around 13 seconds on my recorder (to read the same file only 5 seconds!) with USB
2.0 from an Gigabyte onboard USB 2.0 interface. Of course this is by far not the
expected speed of 480 Mbps. I think the limiting factor is now the hard disk (or
controller) of the recorder. But you will notice the more than 4xWrite/12x read
effective speed of the USB 2.0 and don't want to miss it anymore once you saw it.
For me, USB 2.0 was one of the main reasons to buy the recorder.
I should say that in my recorder works a Toshiba 60 GB drive. Maybe speed varies
with the original hard drive.
