Date: Mon, 16 Sep 2002 10:12:55 +0200 This is funny :) I ripped the big mp3 with EAC (exact audio copy). Then i split up the mp3 with mp3 trackmaker. Mp3 Trackmaker only creates ID3V1 tags on the cutted tracks. The IDV2 Tags i had to set manually with Winamp v2.x... And you're right - mp3check tells me too, that there is junk between the header and the stream data. Maybe one of the programs uses a predefined size for the IDV2 area (like 2k or 4k or so?) So is this aligning-feature difficult to implement in rockbox? -Danijel -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] Im Auftrag von Nielsen Linus (ext) Gesendet: Montag, 16. The MP3 decoder probably looses the sync when it receives all that junk data. The Archos firmware probably removes all data after the ID3V2 tag until it finds an MP3 sync word. I guess we will have to add that feature too, but I just can't understand why on earth your ripper/encoder/ID3 editor adds junk to the file between the ID3 tag and the stream data! What software are you using? /Linus Received on 2002-09-16 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
