: clR6x8 indeed looks very nice (for a fixed-width font). But it
is not latin-1. Thinking of the upcoming multi language support,
shouldn't the system font be full iso 8859-1?

The internet url for this font was for an older X11
font directory. The latest X11 distribution from XFree86
has most fonts filled out with complete 8859-1 versions;
I suspect this font has been enhanced as well, I'll pull it
down and check. (those with access to new and old
RedHat distributions will notice a huge difference in the
size of the .pcf.gz fonts in /usr/X11/lib/fonts - this is
because of the full iso8859 and unicode support)

Regards,

Greg
