I hadnt had any chance to try out all the new features since before my summevacation (being in Japan and not having access to a decent computer outside school). And I have to say Im really impressed with all the progress. I already knew about what had been done (read the mailinglist everyday, I have to admit that it is getting harder to keep up with everything tho), but it was still a suprise to try it out. Cant wait for support for making playlists on the fly and saving them. I would like to add to the project myself (for learning reasons if not for anything else), but Im stranded in this strange country with very little computer time and no development tools. Now to the bug(?). I have a Player, one of the newer versions, and in my wps i use the second line for the progressbar, time elapsed and time remaining, like so: %s%?in<%in - >%?it<%it|%fn> %?ia<[%ia%?id<, %id>]> %pb%pc/%pr But the different time counters in the second line doesnt seem to be updated at the same time, but one a little while after/before the other? Is there a special reason for this? I would have thought that the time counters would be changed at the same time? My personal view is that it looks a little odd as it is now. Not a big issue in any way, just a small cosmetic correction that the project could survive without, but it might affect something else? Then I have been thinking about something else. Adding extra information to playlists. I dont know if this is something that is desireable by the majority tho, because it could maybe break the standard .mu3 format and would probably take up more memory(?). What I would like to see is a way to "lock" certian songs into blocks when shuffleing a playlist. F.e, sometimes you have 2 or more songs that "goes into eachother" meaning that they should be played in a row to sound good. This could also be used to make sure that ceartain albums are shuffled as one big peice in a big playlist with everything on your mp3player. If this is desireable Im sure that people have many other features like this they would like included. Tell me what you think of the idea! /Magnus Received on 2002-09-26 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
