These dialects differ from standard German in so many aspects it is perfectly okay to speak of one or multiplie Swiss German languages. Now as i said this is usually spoken but not written, however, amonst your friends you might write Swiss German nevertheless althought there are no truely official rules or orthography. Be sure there is no SwissGerman Windows and there never will be one, however, it supports the cult factor of Rockbox to have a Swiss German version. Someone proposed to have a common Swiss lang-file. This is nonesense. It is like saying let's have a czechian-slowakian common language. Or Danish-Swedish. These are different tongues and although we understand each other, watering them is no fun. Now of course we could start an endless discussion about which Swiss dialect should make it into rockbox. You can have 5-10 if you want, but this is silly. In my eyes Grison-German is the only really cool one, but others may differ. However, i think all Swiss Germans will agree the submitted Wallisertitsch has a very high cult-factor. And therefore as it was the first one submitted i would opt to have the Wallisertitsch as the only Swiss language-file in the package. We could call it "Swiss German (Wallisertitsch)".
