Rockbox mail archiveSubject: key binding change for quickly exiting menuskey binding change for quickly exiting menus
From: Remo Hofer <remo.nospam_at_gmx.net>
Date: Sun, 06 Oct 2002 19:21:00 +0200 Since you didn't like my feature request for a menu timeout, I have another proposal: I'd really like a faster and fool proved way to exit the menu. Currently the MENU as well as the STOP key (F1 and LEFT on the recorder) will get you one level back in the menu. I propose that STOP (and LEFT) will keep the current behaviour, but MENU (and F1) will get you directly to the screen (browser or wps) from where you've called the menu in the first place. This way the MENU key behaves a little bit more like the ON key in the sense that it switches between two different modes (even though the "menu" mode doesn't keep its state). When talking about keys, I'd also like both the MENU and ON keys to exit the ID3 screen as long as no better functions are designed for them. For myself, these "little" changes would almost be as usefull as a menu timeout. Should I file a feature request for this? Does it have a chance to be realised? Or will it even be realised in 1.4 since the changes to be made are hopefully very small? Greetings Remo BTW. Rockbox really rocks and has completely replaced the archos firmware since persistent settings have been implemented. Great job, thanks a lot. -- Remo Hofer <remo.nospam_at_gmx.net> Do NOT remove nospam from email address!Received on 2002-10-06 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
