How about (at least on recorder where buttons are plentyful!) using the
currently unused ON+Left and ON+Right to skip to prev/next track in playlist
while in shuffle mode? often, the shuffle does a Bo Selecta and picks up a
good tune on a good album, then I wanna hear another tune on the album,
leaving it in shuffle afterwards, ie it temp. overrides the shuffle

Also, when not on shuffle, it could jump to a random place in playlist,
allowing the opposite effect.

What do others think?
