No, the point of a larger LCD screen is to get a LARGER LCD screen :)
The Neo screen is a little bit bigger, sure, but for a stand-alone unit,
I meant quite a lot bigger :-)

And for me personally, making a desktop unit, the work saved by the Neo
already being suited to some of what I'd be doing, is probably not more
than the work involved in learning the Neo hardware, because I already
know and have messed around with the archos hardware :-)
Other drawbacks to the Neo for that project include no USB2 (though I
might be out of date here), and no digital outputs - digital outputs are
not a big deal on a pocket player, but make a fair difference if you're
using it as a standalone unit to connect to sound system.
That said, I know someone in the market to whom I was going to recommend
Archos, but now realise they should definitely also take a look at the
Neo.
