Actualy you did not lose the recording.. If you write anything to the
disk after this you will most likely be able to recover the data
using scandisk or Norton DiscDoctor..

A well know problem with the archos FW..

My experiences with easy recovery with anything but deleted files
are bad to say the least. Norton DiscDoctor should do much better

I know the feeling. I lost some REAL cool livesets I did on a weekly
jamnight.. ;(

Believe me, they are .. ;)

The current recording implementation is already better IMO (I could
NEVER get the archos to do 48KHz recordings before RockBox.. and it's
still under development

Realeae it can happen, bet completely unable to fix it is another
matter. But then again.. by now their firmware is outdated anyway
AFAIAC.

The latest daily build has a problem with the experimental 'show
playlists only' feature, it does nothing but show only playlists
nomatter what the setting, but recording works great sofar.

Keep an eye on the dailies..
