Incidentally, if anyone is looking at digital recordings, I can recommend the A-D Line-in to Optical and SP/DIF converter. It also has a composite to S-Video converter!! www.maplin.co.uk part number QQ82D £30.00 The longest recording I have made was 2 hours, and that was because I forgot to stop it!!! ;-) And.... It was OK! -----Original Message----- From: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Martin Borus Sent: 01 December 2002 12:37 To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: Re: archos >4h recording bug > My crash occured at 4h 05m. Crashes like this are common. I've also bought my Archos in Germany and the display crashes most of the times - sometimes even 10-20 minutes after a recording start. Sometimes the screen even goes blank. When recording with no extra power source connected, most of my long time recordings [8-10 hours] come out well. If you must do long recordings with the Archos firmware I recommend loading the batteries 100% full. (best with an externat charger).
