(still using the same R20GB) I wanted to see what would happen when I connected the power adaptor and started to record. For this I had nearly empty batteries which I loaded for 10-15 minutes so that the recorder would start. This is the result. While recording the "loading" animation was running. And it seems to load. I'm impressed.. The very first file I recorded is only a few seconds long: Get it at "www.syltlinks.de/rockbox". It's a digital recording of a 48kHz satellite signal. You will notice some skips in the sound. With the recorder connected I started switching channels. Some of these might have had a different sampling rate. This crashed the jukebox - the hard disk LED was on permanently and I had to remove power to get the JB running again. The file was lost. I connected the JB to my CD player and startet a digital recording at quality setting 5. I left that running for 90 minutes - no problem. I played the first 10 minutes: Sound seems OK. Next test was maximum quality to maximize the power consumption. Here the recorder turned itself off after 20 minutes. The file seems to be OK as well. I wasn't in the room when this happened so I started recording again. This time the hard disc locked after a short time. I could stop it and use the menus, but the red LED stayed on and no further hard disc accesses were possible. After reset by unplugging the power it I had a 3 seconds fragment. This time the loading animation was not running while recording.. Hope this helps. Over the next days I'll attempt an overnight 12h recording with fully loaded batteries to start with. Let's see if that works. If it does, I'll try 24h.. Martin Received on 2002-12-05 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
