They might never offer this for the recorder.

Releasing this officially without programming SCMS
limitations would run them into serious problems.
With current betas you can copy any copy-protected
digital audio signal (without having to use secret tricks)
this is something an official product is not supposed to do.

Still this is very good news - why not get them to ship
the Studio with Rockbox in ROM?
