Subject: recording frame header bug

recording frame header bug

From: Uwe Freese <mail_at_uwe-freese.de>

Hello,

I recorded some hours again this night.

I started with 22kHz/Mono/qual0 and then turned over to 16kHz.

But the file was not playable (only the first minutes), so I looked at
the frame headers (at the end of the file):

It is

FF F3 38 C4 = 11111111 11110011 (0011)1000 11000100

(0011) means 24 kHz (when mpeg2, layer3 is used). So the header was
written wrong. I'm sure that I had 16 kHz turned on at the end. I
checked it with going to the record screen - it showed the old setting
of 16 kHz.

The file showed playtime 344:29 in rockbox and 413:23 in winamp, maybe
this is because it's vbr and there's no vbr header yet?

Bye, Uwe.
