I run the program on my 6 gb of mp3 files (1500 file) it took 2 mins to generate all the playlists and sort them via USB 1.1 connection. You can download the program from http://qv3000MR.virtualave.net/MP3/PlaylistGenerator.zip This is about 1.3 mb (sorry, it must include VB6 runtime dll files) If you believe you installed a vb program before, you might have those big runtime dlls, so you can try http://qv3000MR.virtualave.net/MP3/PLGen.zip Regards, Mel -----Original Message----- From: Henri DAVID [mailto:hdavid_at_mail.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 11:45 AM To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: RE: Yet another playlist generator and mp3 renamer > That might be a little problem though.. How do you like to sort your > playlists.. For example the one at the root with 5000 mp3 files?.. well i sort them in alphabetical order, using path+filename (the whole line) as key using the Sort function in Minimalistic Build-Environment for win32. I think it could be possible to sort each generated playlist right after the prog generated it using a port of unix sort command henri > -----Original Message----- > From: Henri DAVID [mailto:hdavid_at_mail.com] > Sent: Wednesday, January 08, 2003 9:51 AM > To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > Subject: RE: Yet another playlist generator and mp3 renamer > > > oh yeah... > and to be able to sort the playlist would perfect :) > > thanks again ! > > henri > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se > > [mailto:owner-rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se]On > > Behalf Of Melih ÖZBEK > > Sent: 08 January 2003 08:10 > > To: 'rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se' > > Subject: Yet another playlist generator and mp3 renamer > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I modified the program so that you can choose to rename mp3s from ID > > tags, any combination of tracknumber, songtitle, artist, album and > > year. > > > > Note that tracknumber is supported only by newer version of the ID > > tags..
