Anyone ever thought of adding an infrared sensor to the Archos?
Siemens produces small demodulated infrared receivers with a low
power consumption (SFH5xx). These chips have 3 pins: VCC, GND
nd CMOS data-out. Software could be written so an existing
remote could be used (Sony remotes are very easy to decode)
