By the way, it's the way they do it on the iPod: a database that uses the
id3 tags. You don't have directories. So you can browse by artist, album,
title, style, year... or whatever info that exists in the id3. The problem
of course, is you must have good id3 tags in your mp3s. I don't know exactly
how they do that, because I suspect you need big processing power to query
such databases right?
Anyway, I'm not sure it would be that good on the archos. I mean if you
browse by song name you can have a list of 10000 songs or such. On the iPod
you have the scroll wheel, so you can go to the point fast. But on the
archos you have to press up/down and this can be very long...
