Diploma thesis: Connecting Archos Jukebox with Rockbox to a Volks wagen Radio

Hello to all,

within some threads you are discussing what would be the best way to connect
the Archos Jukebox with the car. The best way is integrating it seamless!

Nearly every Volkswagen Radio and Navigation system has a
Volkswagen-standardized CD changer interface. The best way is connecting the
Archos to this interface. If you do this and if you are expanding the remote
control features of the Archos a little bit, you can control the Archos with
the normal radio control panel. In the past we connected a simple audio
source with this CD changer interface. The first prototype of a simple
interface emulator based on an Atmel microcontroller is already done. For
the next step the interface emulator must be expanded and it must be
connected to the remote control of an external MP3 player. The Archos
Jukebox seems to be a good choice, because an open source firmware is
available.

If anyone of you is interested in a diploma thesis like this at Volkswagen
Research, please write me an eMail.

Kind regards

Frank Plagge
