I even tried both starting with the wall adapter already plugged in, and starting from batteries alone. No go. I always get the same Register Error screen: http://rockbox.haxx.se/mail/archive/rockbox-archive-2003-01/1236.shtml Does anybody know how to decode register errors? I suspect the drive is flaky. My desktop machine doesn't recognize the Toshiba drive (through the 2.5" IDE adapter) until AFTER a warm reset. If I power-on cold, the drive just gets ignored. I tried formatting and partitioning the drive on the desktop machine and installing it in the Archos again. No change. I think I'm out of options... Time to exchange the drive? > Connect the Archos to the USB port and your computer then power up so > rom only used, then try FDISK > > > Regards > > > > Jason > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Scott Bronson" <bronson_at_rinspin.com> > To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> > Sent: Wednesday, January 29, 2003 8:43 PM > Subject: Re: Problems with 60GB Toshiba HD > > >> You got it working??
