FM 20 battery measurements

Hi

>Open the battery flap, connect a voltage meter to the battery (read
>Freds mail where he described on which pins you can measure the voltage)
>and measure pairs

>(value of AN6 in Debug/IO ports screen when backlight on) and (voltage of
battery)

Tryed to remove the battery from the FM20 and couldn't actually remove it,
got the cover off ok.Was a bit scared of damaging something as they are
fully charged and probing about with a screw driver trying to prise them out
didn't feel to good.l'll meter through the connector at the other end when
ive had some sleep and see if the battery + appears there.
Also the battery cover has to be on as it makes the ground connection
between the batteries and the case metal work, so not much to be gained by
removing it i feel.
When you ask to measure pairs i guess you mean to see what AN6 / battery
voltage reads and actual voltage measured across the battery directly?
You say not to let the drive spin up but the voltage only seems to be
displayed on AN6 when drive/backlight come on? also ive found that you have
to press one of the buttons to update the display, if that gives an accurate
reading?
Cheers
Gonz
