It's not strange at all. We have repeatly said that the voltage reading has nothing to do with the unit powering off. We don't power off!

What makes you think that Rockbox cares about the levels? The unit
turning itself off is certainly not something intentional. Rockbox has
no code that attempts to turn off the device if the battery level goes
below a certain threshold.

So there is nothing we can do until we, I repeat, get our hands on some
schematics.

Stop messing with the AN6 voltage reading, it won't help. What we need is someone to open up the unit and document the power circuit properly. *Then* we will know what to do.

Guesswork will not bring a solution to this problem.
