kinda OT: Jukebox HD noises ...?

Hi,

figured this would be a good place to ask-
I've got an Archos Jukebox FM Recorder 20. only got it early this week.
I'm noticing lately if I move it at all while the drive is spinning
up, it makes kinda loud BEEPING and clanky noises while it tries to get
back to what it was doing. and I'm not vigorously shaking the thing,
I'm only tilting it up and down or side to side. I'd like to think this
is normal (saves me the trouble of sending it back...), but, lately it
has started skipping while driving in my car. moreso with Rockbox
firmware than the default-- it's where I noticed it first. I'd be
playing a song and in the middle of it, the drive light would go red and
it'd pause for 3 seconds to rebuffer. At one point it never resumed. I
was able to make the default firmware do this at home if I moved it
around quite a bit whenever it accessed the drive, but I haven't made it
completely stop like it did with Rockbox.

whew, ok, so what I'm wondering is, is my player broken? are all the
drives in these things so noisy? Sorry to bring this up here, I don't
know of any other Archos forum or user group. I emailed their tech
support but I'm still waiting on a response.

Thanks
Dave
