The recorder should be able to charge the batteries from a 5V
connection. There's a MC34063A voltage converter at the charger
input and from its datasheet it should accepts input voltages
as low as 3V. Why is it that batteries are only charged when input
voltage is above 6.5V? Anyone has the time + knowledge to investigate
this?
