I am having trouble getting my Archos 6000 recorder to power up. I am sure
you have better things to do with your time, but Archos support is zero
help. Would you be willing to help me?

the problem is that when I turn it on my 6000 recorder its says OS 1.17i
then 0S 1.27d. Then the screen shows a small square and the word VOL at the
top. It does not show the regular screen. I have replaced and recharged
the batteries.
