Date: 19 Feb 2003 12:27:00 +0000 Hi, I put a new version up for download Changes: - pressing Enter for a longer time while browsing enters all folders and plays the first song. This is not a real folder play function but it's the best we have for now. - Numeric values on the sound settings screen as suggested by Roland Values end in 99 as there's not enough space do display 100 Any further suggestions? There wouldn't be enough space for Vol Bas Tre Bal Lou ... It'd have to be VoBaTrBlLo ... I don't use "Super Bass" or AVC as they sound bad to me and there's already too much AVC on most recordings. > Integrating some numerical represantation of the settings would be helpful, > too. I did that this morning. You can download the new version at the same address. > I think about this and will post my ideas in form of some "fake pics", if > somebody would > like this. In hardware they use Log variable resistors to do it, in software it should be much simpler. Is it the need to be different that makes rockbox people think otherwise? > > > - Cleaner icons (volume and others) > the music-note icon for mp3 files really looks good ! I started by doing it that way but it felt funny as I always started reading the text at the icon and my brain took a few millisecs to skip the "invalid character" > > > - More responsive keyboard > this is nice, anyway! > > thanks for your work ! > I hope all the best of it will go into official rockbox release soon ! > regards > Roland > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Joaquim Carvalho" <jdc_at_x64.com> > To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> > Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 7:19 PM > Subject: Experimental new UI for the Recorder > > > > http://www.x64.com/public/ajbrec.ajz > > > > I made the a few last changes that make me 100% happy with the > > Recorder user interface.
