thanks for the offer..... the problem might has been just that: I don't know
exactly what I need. I want to do the 8MB ram upgrade; from the hardware
mods page, what I need should feature:

- 8MB DRAM
- organized as 4M x 16
- contained in a 50 TSOP-II case
- powered at 3.3V
- supporting FPM and alternatively EDO
- with 4k refresh cycles

in his page, Uwe even mentions that Hynix part number GM71VS65163CLT5 will
work. I've been trying to get something similar, but I haven't been
successful.

any help would be appreciated.

Give me the details on what you want and I'll see what I can do. I don't
personally order parts like these, but I do have a co-worker that is an R&D
tech that orders many many parts like surface mount, flash, various types of
RAM, etc. I'm sure he could hook you up with an order for whatever parts
you need.
