Trying to drag us back on-topic!

Tried out this fix for about 30 minutes last night, and didn't get a
"silent music" error, so that one looks like it's sorted (touch wood!)

However I did get a couple of "red freezes". I have added some debug
code and hope to try and track down what is going on, where it is
sticking etc.

Is there a more "severe" reset option available, harder than a soft
reset, but softer than a power off/on?
