Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 15:20:03 -0800 Hello, Matt, Well, I just bought the Archos Preamped Stereo Mic through hotmp3gear.com, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'll let you know if it works out when I do get it (later today or tomorrow, latest). Was $49.99, and Archos used to sell it for $23.99! The little chumps! -Zakk (midknight2k_at_hotmail.com) ----Original Message Follows---- From: Matt SF <spore_at_psibercom.org> Reply-To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: yet another Mic-related question Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2003 12:20:48 -0800 Hey all-- I'm still trying to find an "upper-mid" quality microphone to give good results while recording on Line In. I have an older pair of Core Sound Binaural mics that I usually use in a stereo configuration ( http://www.core-sound.com ) and they have an inline battery box with a 9v battery. They work wonderfully on anything with an actual -mic- input and sometimes need to be moved to a line input if the sound is very loud. But even with a fresh battery, they just can't drive the AJBR20's line input very well, even with the gain cranked up to 19.5dB on the recording levels. Can anyone recommed a decent but not super-expensive battery box that will raise a mic level to a line level? Also, I am using a daily build from last December, I don't suppose any possible software improvements have been made in recording ability since then, eh? Thanks! -Matt -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: smart spam protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmailReceived on 2003-03-17 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
