Hi!
Wouldn't it be cool to use the archos as a "display" when it is plugged on
the pc?
For example, it starts to blink when you have a new mail, or it displays the
title of the mp3 you are playing, or things like that, anything you want it
to display.

I think the simple way to do that would be to monitor a special file when in
usb mode. When the file changes, read it and display it. The file contains
the light status (on/off/blink) and a text to display and/or a picture.

When the pc wants to notify something, just modify this file, and the archos
displays it instantly :)

What do you think ?
