Shame :( The big killer is no infra-red rcu and I understand that > you cannot activate the line-in during playback - so no building one > either :( Yes you can build one. My fellow Diava has it working (see my other post below about cd changer emu). The headphone jack has a 4th pin for remote control. There is a wired version to route into the headphone cable, but the pin can be used to sample RC5 code as well. The pullup of this pin is 1kOhm against 3.3 volts, quite strong, but barely missing the current to supply an integrates IR receiver. So you need an external supply for it, or exchange the internal pullup. We may get 3 volt receivers (Vishay TSOPxx3V), they need 0.7 milliamps. With a germanium diode and a buffer cap you'd get very close. > Having written BIOSes for several years, memory detection is a basic > procedure for us. Detecting it is easy, but the folks have problems to assign the buffer addresses dynamically. Joerg -- +++ GMX - Mail, Messaging & more http://www.gmx.net +++ Bitte lächeln!
