I take your point, but fail to see why it should be so unusable that you need to dump Rockbox. Much of what it does is the same as Archos firmware (move around file lists, play, prev track, next track, fast forward/back etc.) Once you know that much of the setup is on F1, then that is simple as well. There is also a manual on the website, in the "Documentation" section that explains most of the operations in great detail. It is only really the "bleeding edge" stuff that maybe isn't documented yet.
