The format I use is:

tracknum-title.mp3

04-Romeo_Is_Bleeding.mp3

I use ID3 tags to display all the information on the archos display and
have all the songs organized like:

/Artist/Album/*.mp3

or

/Artist/Album/Disk_2/*.mp3

for multi-disk CDs
