Thanks. You should recommend him try the daily builds. Much has been improved since the 1.4 release. Version 2.0 will be released soon.

I have spoken to Archos in emails and on the phone. Basically, in their own words, they "like anyone who likes their products". They do not mind what we are doing, but also do not support it in any way. I have repeatedly asked for information but they always refuse to help.

They did, late in 2002, ask for permission to include 1.4 on the support CD for the Studio models. I gave them permission but so far I have heard nothing about it becoming reality.

Apparently the techies at Archos like what we do, but the management seems to think that helping us will help their commercial competitors. I don't agree, but then I don't run the company.
